What
does the job involve? |
• Some
of our clients need minimal assistance with personal care; others
need total help with getting up, washing and dressing etc.
• Shopping
• Cleaning
• Companionship
• You will live with the client for at least a week at a time.
Actual shift patterns by
agreement
• You will be provided with your own bedroom and food and
drinks
• You will work up to 10 hours of unmeasured work per day
• You will get a 2 hour break per day at a time to be agreed
with the client |
Do I get regular
clients? |
• Yes,
we try where possible, and ensure you look after the same clients
regularly |
I haven’t
got any care experience, does that make a difference? |
• No,
experience helps but as long as you have a caring nature, we
will give you all the training you need |
What training will
I be given? |
• We
will give you induction training, which will be some classroom
work and shadowing an experienced carer
• We also provide in house NVQ training |
I am very experienced;
do I still need to do the training? |
• Yes
you do, even though you have experience you need to be familiar
with
company policies and procedures and the latest legislation regarding
home care |
What will I be paid? |
• A
generous pay rate, dependant upon the complexity of the care
package and your level of experience |
When will I be paid? |
• You
will be paid every 2 weeks, which is paid directly into your
bank account |
If I have any problems
what should I do? |
• Whatever
the problem you should contact the office or out of office hours
the on-call manager. There will always be somebody at the end
of the phone to help you |
